How do I Integrate My App?

After a GL Strings user creates a new project, the next step should be integrating their apps with the project. GL Strings provides a wide range of integration options to best suit your needs.

The most popular include the GL Strings SDKs. The integration of the GL Strings SDK takes minutes, but differs a little from platform to platform. Please follow the Integration Guides. As a part of the integration, the GL Strings SDKs provide methods to upload all translatable content from the app’s string resource files - initially and continuously - screenshots, and other helpful metadata to the dashboard. For SDK users, there are two ways the automated string upload can be initialized: by turning on Draft Mode on your mobile phone or by connecting the app to the debugger.

After GL Strings is integrated, a couple steps must be taken before your app's strings are imported to the GL Strings Dashboard:

• Kill the app in case it's still running in the background.
• Set your phone to the same language as the Base Language you chose when creating your app in the Dashboard
• Make sure that the version of your app on your phone contains the SDK.
• Now you have 2 options: either start the app in Draft or Debug Mode

The process can take a couple of seconds. If nothing happens, make sure your internet connection is stable, wait for around 30 seconds, then refresh the Dashboard page. Still nothing?
